My Selkirk Cattery Story
It all began when I was showing household pets at a cat show and I saw a Selkirk Rex cat go by. I was awestruck by the curls and was allowed to touch the wavy coat. I decided right then that if I ever had a purebred cat, it would be a Selkirk.
A few years later, my Selkirk journey began with "Quincy," a blue long-haired cat that captured my heart. After successfully traveling with him and successfully showing him for titles in CFA, TICA, and CFF, I got my first breeding female from Highlandkatz Cattery, Georgia On My Mind. I campaigned her as a kitten and cat in CFA, and she earned the titles of Grand Champion, Breed Winner (2 years in a row), Regional Winner, and Agility Winner. This experience deepened my love and appreciation for Selkirks and inspired me to breed these beautiful kitties.
My mission in breeding is to uphold the highest standards of health, temperament, and type. My cattery is small and home-based. Every kitten is raised as a member of our family, ensuring they are not only beautiful examples of the breed but also well-socialized companions ready to bring joy to their forever homes.
