Coats: Every 1-2 weeks- use a wide tooth metal comb to prevent matting and to keep the skin and fur healthy. I usually comb upwards and start at the back of the cat (tail). When I get to the front, I comb the chest fur up towards the chin and comb the fur on each cheek inwards. They usually enjoy this party the most! :) Yes, combing the fur will straighten it, but like human hair, if you spritz it with water and scrunch the fur, it will help to refresh the curls!
Nails: Your kitten has been getting its nails trimmed every 1-2 weeks. Not all kittens are completely comfortable with this yet, but they do have experience with it. I sit the kitten on its back like a baby in my lap and trim each nail beginning with the front paws. I praise the kitten as I work. If the kitten is too squirmy, I let it calm down, then praise it and let it go for now to be continued later.

Ears: Some Selkirk ears can get waxy. They may need to be cleaned weekly. Of you are unsure how, you can ask your vet to demonstrate a safe method for you.
